Custom Made to Measure Suit - On a Budget!

For those of you who've taken a trip to Mens Wearhouse for your suits, might I recommend something different, and not much more pricey?

The guys at Thick as Thieves offer made-to measure custom suits starting out at a little over $400 and offer 50s-60s era influence in their styling.

It pretty much works like this:

1) Take your own measurements
2) Choose your suit design
3) Choose your fabric
4) Email ThickasThieves your preferences
5) Pay
6) Wait three weeks for your custom suit

I am going to be taking a look at these guys in the future, for sure. Their internet reviews have been nothing but positive. On top of that, you are getting a top notch, custom suit of premium quality (better than BOSS even).

The feature that make these suits really stand out from off-the-rack mass-produced suits is a stitched, floating canvas construction. What this means that instead of gluing the suit fabric to the lining, the lining is hand-sewed. Glued suits have a tendency to fall apart after dry cleaning, resulting in a bubbling appearance to the fabric. This won't happen with a stitched lining suit.

So, for those of you who are in the market, take a look. I'm in the market for a one-button peaked lapel. Maybe I'll be able to give you a review soon.
